Step 1: Prep the Potpourri Ingredients
Cozy Fall Potpourri Ingredients:
1 Medium Orange, Thinly Sliced
1 & 1/2 Cups Chopped Raw Cranberries
1-2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract
1 Teaspoon Apple Pie Spice Blend
1 Teaspoon Ground Cloves
5-6 Cinnamon Sticks
1 Cup of Water
1 Small (1.5 - 2 Quarts) Slow Cooker
Step 2: Add the Ingredients Together
Slowly pour the water into the slow cooker. Add the vanilla extract and spices, and then stir them together. Add the orange slices, cranberries, and cinnamon sticks and lightly stir them together in the slow cooker.
Step 3: Set the Temperature for the Potpourri
Set the temperature of the slow cooker on Low or Warm to start the “cooking” process. Leave the lid off of the slow cooker for the potpourri aroma to disperse.
Step 4: Maintain the Potpourri
Check on the potpourri throughout the day, stirring periodically. Depending on how quickly your slow cooker “cooks,” you might need to add a little more water to keep the potpourri ingredients from burning. Feel free to add more spices or extract to the slow cooker to enhance the scent as the liquid evaporates. For a longer potpourri experience, replace the orange slices, cranberries, and cinnamon sticks halfway through the day to keep the potpourri sweet and cozy!
In Conclusion:
There you have it—an effortless and delightful way to fill your home with the cozy scents of autumn! This slow cooker fall potpourri recipe not only makes your space feel warm and inviting but also adds a touch of seasonal magic.
